Grindstone Nature Area is a trail overlooking vreeks and limestone cliffs near Columbia, Missouri. This a 3.3 mile (5.31 kilometer) trail is ideal site for mountain biking and hiking.

Jay Dix Station
The Mizzou Botanic Garden is located in the University of Missouri and is a large green space having innumerable species of plants. The facility is open throughout the year and conducts tours for better understanding of the plant world. The main attractions at the park include the Wildlife Pond, the Arboretum and the grave marker of Thomas Jefferson. The facility also boasts of a Peony Garden and a Butterfly Garden.
