Texas Women's Hall of Fame

Located inside the Texas Woman's University, the Texas Women's Hall of Fame celebrates Texas women who have made major contributions in diverse fields. The hall of fame occupies the Hubbard Hall of the university, and it's lined with photographs of First Ladies, women athletes, scientists, artists, educators, etc who have honored their respective fields with their contributions. Some of the names to have adorned the Texas Women's Hall of Fame are Barbara Bush, Kay Granger, Oveta Culp Hobby, Mae Jemison, Sally Ride and Sheryl Swoopes.

The UNT Sky Theatre Planetarium is a dome shaped theater with a capacity of 100 seats. Experience some wonderful time with your little ones and watch lively shows and know more about the celestial objects.

Little Chapel in the Woods

Little Chapel in the Woods is one of the most unique attractions of its kind in Denton. Located on Chapel Drive, the pretty chapel is associated with Texas Woman's University. It seats 110 and is home to many artworks, including the stained-glass windows. It is often considered to be one of the best Texan examples of architecture.

Enjoy several water rides and have a good time with your family at the Denton Waterworks Water Park. It has four big slides, a sand volleyball court, dedicated space for children in a separate pool and picnic spaces too.
