Urban Cookhouse was inspired by family. From PawPaw Snyder who taught our founder how to carefully smoke meats over hickory wood and charcoal and grow farm fresh vegetables to the Tomaino Family that came to America to start a new life, family is the "why" behind Urban Cookhouse. Sherry Snyder, our founder's mother, was most at home in the kitchen modeling made-from-scratch cooking to her sons. The family farms that provide the fresh ingredients are another vital piece of our family tree that make Urban Cookhouse feel like home to our customers within the communities we serve.

Founded in 2018, Blueprint on 3rd is a polished casual American bistro paying homage to regional Southern cuisine and hospitality.
Situated in a historic downtown building, Chef Tom Saab prepares recipes that pay homage to traditional techniques, only he uses ingredients that are more localized. For instance, the fried green tomatoes come with a crawfish aioli and the massive Gulf Shrimp plate is served with vegetable risotto. Of course, guests can still find Steak Frites and Duck Confit if looking for more traditional French bistro dishes, however one would be remiss not to order the Grilled Octopus served with Spanish Chorizo, Romesco and a Squid-ink Vinaigrette for the entire table before starting with anything else.
