Tango Sur

Enjoy Argentine flavor with a European feel. The setting is cozy, intimate and candlelit. If you are unfamiliar with the cuisine, you cannot go wrong with empanadas (savory-stuffed pastry) for an appetizer, Argentine steak for your main course and rich-custard flan for dessert. Connoisseurs of the meat will say it is better than anything you will find in an American steak house. You be the judge.

The Lobby

Located on the fifth floor of the Peninsula Chicago, this restaurant is as posh as the hotel. Chef Tommy Kirker executes perfect creations of eclectic cuisine. European dishes are excellent, as are desserts like Creme Brulee. Piano nights through the week and live jazz acts on Fridays and Saturdays keep the patrons well entertained. In addition, you can enjoy a leisurely brunch served every Sunday of the week. There is also afternoon tea.

The Bad Apple

It's difficult to decide if the burger menu or the beer menu is more extensive at Bad Apple, and it's certainly difficult to chose only one of each. The burger menu includes enough variety for everyone, be they a carnivore or vegetarian, with fine-tuned burger tastes (try the Frenchie with Brie and truffle), or simple ones (the Bad Apple Burger is as simple as they get). And the draft beers? Both local and faraway breweries are represented on a hefty menu that takes more than a few minutes to digest. The décor is clean and modern and there is adequate space for patrons to eat, drink, or do both.

Small Cheval- Wicker Park

Small Cheval is the sister restaurant to Au Cheval where guests are simply asked to order either a hamburger or a cheeseburger with the option to add bacon and a side of French fries. Not only are the burgers succulent but they will leave you content and satisfied with no room for complaints. You can wash down the meals with draft beers, specialty cocktails or an ice cold coffee. You can enjoy your meals al fresco at the patio or in the cozy indoor setting. However, if you don’t have the time to dine in, you can always order a takeaway. If you are craving for a simple, scrumptious meal, head to Small Cheval and prepare to be delighted.

The Bongo Room

In 1993, lifelong friends Derrick Robles and John Latino brought their vision to life by creating the renowned Bongo Room. Driven by their passion for providing delightful breakfast and brunch experiences, they set out to invigorate people's mornings and set the perfect tone for a remarkable day ahead. With two more outlets in Chicago, this Wicker Park branch is where the story of Bongo Room began. The menu changes seasonally so that guests are delighted with something new often and the best ingredients of the time can be utilized. But the Vegetarian Croissant Sandwich, Breakfast Burrito, and Croissant Sandwich that were featured on their first menu have remained fixtures and are popular favorites at the Bongo Room.
