Fire on the Mountain

After some research it became clear that Portland was the ideal place. After moving to Oregon in the fall of 2003, Sara and Jordan scoped out the town, worked hard in local restaurants, and developed their menu for their new restaurant. Neither of them had ever managed a restaurant, let alone owned one. They attended small business meetings, talked to accountants, restaurant owners and local wing connoisseurs. People asked them if Portland was ready for a wing joint. Others suggested they should have stuck with their previous occupations. The naysayers fueled Sara and Jordan's passion for opening their restaurant even more. On the first day of 2005, the first customers walked through the doors of Fire on the Mountain Buffalo Wings. In the early days, there were just a couple cooks and Sara and Jordan were the only front of house staff. Fast forward to 2011 where Fire on the Mountain Buffalo Wings has become a Portland institution with three restaurants and close to 100 employees. FOTM still possesses the same passion to provide customers with a fun, easygoing restaurant to enjoy our delicious food and great service.

Redwood

Redwood has a creative menu made from scratch. Chilaquiles, potato pancakes, fried Brussels sprouts, and our house veggie burger are just a few of our favorites. We like to keep things fresh, seasonal, and fun by creating weekly specials.

Ava Genes

Offering a range of delightful dishes from Italy, Ava Gene's menu focuses on using the finest locally grown ingredients for its meals. It offers a special list of amari and grappa at its bar, in addition to a slew of Italian wines. Diners love the freshly made pastas, charcuterie and steaks served here, among several other authentic Northern Italian dishes that are part of its menu. The ambiance is casual and laid-back, and the beautiful lighting is a stand out feature of this eatery. With the help of local farmers and suppliers, Ava Gene's creates a menu with tasty Italian dishes and an equally impressive menu of wines and liquor.

Elmer's Restaurant

Elmer's offers gracious service, Northwest ingredients and a fun-filled kid's menu. Guest favorites include the German Pancake, "Looking for Sun" Omelet, Dungeness Crab Benedict, and Classic Mimosa. Locally owned and operated.

Tabor Tavern

In 2012, after 25 years in the industry -- including stints with Portland pub icons McMenamins, Lompoc Brewing and the Horse Brass Pub -- Ken "Zig" Naffziger decided to set out on his own. Inspired by Zig's travels and love of pub culture, his goal was to create the kind of place fellow tavern fans could congregate to enjoy high-quality food and drink in a warm, welcoming and unpretentious environment. A true neighborhood restaurant, Tabor Tavern is the realization of Zig's life-long dream. We look forward to pouring you a pint. To comply with our OLCC license, minors must be seated by 7pm and be off premises by 8pm. Sorry. No exceptions.

Cameo Cafe

There are not too many places where you can get kimchi and omelets on the same menu, but the Cameo Cafe is just that kind of place. Its location is prime, in the middle of the humming Northeast Sandy Boulevard, and its food has won much acclaim from local media and diners alike. Traditional breakfast fare includes eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and omelets, alongside Korean specialties like the kimchi hash with hash browns, eggs, kimchi and bacon, and egg pancakes so large they spill over the brim of your plate. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate completes the all day breakfast menu at the Cameo Cafe. Come as you are at this unique eatery.
