Upon arrival, the marquee says, "Since 1930", however this restaurant is a newer incarnation using the name of a defunct one. Nonetheless, since 1997 the restaurant has offered eggs, bacon, sandwiches, soups, salads and hearty entrees to the hungry Pasadena populace. Its located in Old Town Pasadena and it is a nice option when you want to support a mom-and-pop business as opposed to more chain venues located on Colorado Avenue.
Bone Kettle restaurant is a family owned Southeast Asian kitchen serving Bone Broth and Tapas. Bringing the flavors of Southeast Asia to Pasadena, the notable dish on the menu is Chef Erwin Tjahyadi’s long-simmering soup recipes using beef tendon, knuckles and marrow along with spices, which cooks for 36 hours. The bone broth is served with noodles, condiments, vegetables, pork belly, chicken breast and brisket.
