Sakabayashi Sushi Tavern® by Sushiro, is proud to be the first U.S. outpost of Sugidama, a beloved establishment imported directly from Japan with the mission to offer delicious sushi and a selection of other specialties at great prices, aiming to fill the hearts of a sake god. Our name, Sakabayashi, comes from the traditional cedar ball hung out at sake breweries to signal fresh sake has been brewed, symbolizing tradition and hospitality. What truly sets us apart is our ongoing connection to Japan. Our senior executive, known as the "Guardian of Taste," travels regularly from Japan to Boston to ensure that our food, service, and hospitality meet the same high standards found in our restaurants back home. This level of commitment reinforces our dedication to authenticity. With a traditional sakabayashi, guests are welcomed into our warm and inviting izakaya, from the lanterns to the vibrant wall art, every detail is designed to transport you to Japan, right here in America.
