We also offer our sushi with brown rice that is full of the flavor you would except from white rice, this is something we really take pride in as other sushi restaurants offer plain and bland brown rice sushi. Nobu Fifty Seven is another feather in chef Nobu Matsuhisa'a hat. This Japanese resto-bar serves the usual suspects as at other Nobus - which are sashimi salad, black cod with miso, toro tartare, green tea ice cream, sushi, sake, and martinis. The standard is undoubtedly elite and there's no dearth of celebrity sightings. The conspicuous sake barrels, wood panels, hibachi table, and bar give a trendy look to the place, though the high decibels can be annoying at times. Fantastically fresh sushi and sashimi is available.

Chef Yoshihiko Kousaka's creations can be enjoyed in two different ways at Kosaka, a new entrant into New York's Sushi bar scene, Sushi only option or sushi with sashimi. The setting of the restaurant is simple but sleek and modern, with custom made pottery from Akihiro Nikaido. Seated at the bar, diners can watch and marvel at the skill of the chef as he explains each dish he creates. Add-ons like Toro with caviar, the Uni platter or the monkfish liver are available for those who choose to order. The variety of seafood offered includes everything from red snapper, sea bass, squid, salmon, jumbo shrimp to sea eels, needle fish and sardines.
