Gino's East - Magnificent Mile

Gino's East Pizza is the famous brainchild of a couple of cab drivers, not exactly your traditional pizzaiolos. In 1966, Gino's East Pizza opened shop on a turbulent corner of Michigan Avenue, and since then it has served celebrities, politicians, sports stars, and thousands upon thousands of tourists and locals alike. Like many other establishments in the city, the focus here is on their classic deep dish: a flaky, buttery crust that holds succulent sausage, tangy tomato sauce, piquant pepperoni, and mounds of mozzarella. It is undoubtedly one of the most popular spots in town, and they have locations in the entire Chicagoland area. This location, however, is the original and is the only one where you can still write your name on the walls (if you can find space).
