Top Clarksville roofers

The best roofing company in Clarksville for YOU

No two Clarksville roofing companies are exactly alike. While each company may offer several similar services, the experience can vary widely. That's why it helps to think about the most important factors, including the type of roof you have, whether you need a roof repair or replacement, how you'll pay for the roofing work and how quickly you need the job done. A reliable roofer will do a thorough inspection, provide photos and a detailed report of what's wrong and walk you through estimated costs and timelines before starting.

Jackson Roofing & Restoration LLC is the best Clarksville roofer. Established in 1995, it has been serving the Clarksville community for decades, boasting a 4.5-star rating on both Google and Yelp. One reviewer notes that this locally owned roofer is a " fantastic bunch to work with " and that they " couldn't be happier " with the company's roofing work and gutters. Another great choice is Martin Roofing Services . The owner is a previous employee of the company, involved with every job, and he ballparked the cost of a roof replacement in Clarksville at under $9,000.

Jackson Roofing & Remodeling LLC is the best overall Clarksville roofing company

Jackson Roofing & Remodeling LLC is our top choice for the best Clarksville roofer. It has been in business for over two decades, with roots dating back to 1995 in residential construction, before narrowing its focus to roofing. When we called, office manager Denise Nelson picked up the phone, explaining the no-nonsense approach the company takes to roof replacements.

It does not offer aerial estimates, but Nelson very roughly ballparked the cost of a shingle roof replacement on a standard 1,400-square-foot, one-story home between $8,000 and $12,000. For an estimate, the company sends out an estimator, who inspects the roof, decking, attic and other areas, to work up a report, complete with photos. The inspection and report process takes about 90 minutes.

Jackson Roofing installs roofs year-round, including during winter. For unexpected pop-up showers, the roofers use large tarps, as well as synthetic underlayment (not paper), which Nelson said acts as a moisture barrier between the decking and shingles. She also explained that Jackson Roofing's winter installations differ from summer, noting that shingles seal fully once the temperatures warm, even if they are installed in cold weather. Though she noted that they will not install shingles in certain temperatures and wait for a warmer day during the winter months.

Nelson told us that the company offers a two-year workmanship warranty, but that it routinely returns to make repairs well beyond that time when issues arise, sometimes years later. All of its crews are in-house and undergo background checks. There is also a roofing foreman who oversees every job to make sure the installation goes according to plan. Nelson said the company also employs full-time metal and fascia specialists rather than outsourcing the work.

Services offered

  • Roof replacement

  • Roof repair

  • Storm damage

  • Gutters

  • Siding

Jackson Roofing handles the full tear-off and disposes of your old roofing materials with a dumpster in the driveway. It also performs a magnetic sweep to collect nails. Most roof replacements can be done in one day, but larger homes or more complex rooflines can take several days, Nelson said. Because of the quick timeline, typically no deposit is required and payment is due in full upon completion of the roof. You can pay by check or card. The company charges a 3% fee to all card payments, and accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

It is accredited by the BBB with an A+ rating (zero customer complaints). It has a 4.5-star rating on Google from 46 reviews. On Yelp, it also has a 4.5-star rating, but based on fewer reviews (eight). Nelson said there should be no permit required for the re-roof we called about, but if so, the company handles it.

Jackson Roofing & Remodeling is located at 342 Kraft Street, Clarksville, Tenn., 37040. Call 931-906-0041 or visit the website for more information. It's open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. On weekends, it is closed.

Martin Roofing Services is our top alternativeClarksville roofer

A Martin Roofing Services truck and dump trailer at a home after a roof replacement

A Martin Roofing Services truck and dump trailer at a home after a roof replacement

Our top alternative choice is Martin Roofing Services. When we called, the owner, Ben Searcy, answered our call, making Martin Roofing Services a great choice for those who want straightforward pricing, an involved owner and a hands-on approach. Searcy does not provide aerial estimates but took the details of our 1,400-square-foot, one-story home and provided a ballpark estimate on the spot of $6,500 to $8,500 for a shingle roof replacement. For a more accurate estimate, Searcy or his foreman comes to your home with a ladder to inspect the roof in person and explain whether a new roof or a repair is more appropriate.

Searcy told us most standard roof replacements are done in about a day, often starting around 6 a.m. and wrapping up by the early afternoon. You can stay home, but Searcy said it's a "construction site" so it will be "very loud." He also tells customers to "stay out of the driveway" because he likes to park his dump trailer in the driveway or as close to the home as possible to toss roofing debris directly into the trailer from the roof.

Martin Roofing Services offers a seven-year labor warranty, in addition to manufacturer warranties, which commonly cover shingles for 25 to 30 years, depending on the product. Searcy emphasized to us that, beyond written warranties, his reputation and referrals matter, and most of the company's work comes from past clients.

Searcy said he uses in-house, background-checked roofing crews that are paid directly by the company, rather than subcontracting. Searcy, the current owner, told us he purchased Martin Roofing Services from the previous owner, Michael Martin, about two years ago. The Clarksville crew is managed by a longtime foreman who has been with the company since 2008, according to Searcy, who "works" alongside his crew on every jobsite.

Services offered

  • Roof repair

  • Roof maintenance

  • Roof replacement

  • Roof removal

  • Roof installation

  • Skylight installation and repair

This company does roofing jobs year-round. Searcy explained his company follows manufacturer guidelines and avoids installing shingles when it's too cold for proper sealing unless it's an emergency situation or deadline-driven (like closing on a home). In colder conditions, Searcy said the company uses a setup that includes plywood, heavy-duty tarps and propane heaters to create small insulated tents over shingle stacks. Searcy was clear that this method is used selectively and not as a workaround to rush jobs in unsafe conditions.

It has five-star averages across Google (72 reviews) and Yelp (one review). Martin told us that most of his clients come from referrals, with some of the comments noting that " Martin Roofing was a referral to us from another contractor I respect and trust ." The company said permits are not needed for our roofing project. It is n ot BBB-accredited , but it maintains an A+ rating.

It is open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Call 931-358-7080 or visit the Martin Roofing Services website for more information. The business address for Martin Roofing Services is listed as 522 Windsor Drive, Clarksville, Tenn., 37043.

At Yahoo Local, our mission is to give readers clear and dependable information so they can choose the right roofing professional with confidence. While many people prefer to work with a nearby contractor, some homeowners find that a national company offers broader resources and more consistent service. If you are weighing both options, our guide comparing local vs. national roofers can help. For Clarksville residents who prefer a larger provider, our top recommended national roofer is Best Choice Roofing.

Best Choice Roofing is a Tennessee headquartered company that has grown into one of the largest roofing providers in the country. The company operates over 90 locations in 30 states, serving regions from the West Coast to the Northeast. As a full-service roofing contractor, it offers installation, repairs, and related exterior services across the Southeast and nationwide. Most Best Choice Roofing offices focus on asphalt shingle systems, though some can take on metal roofing or other specialty requests. The company provides a standard five-year labor warranty with the option to upgrade to a lifetime extended labor warranty. As an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, it also offers a 50-year materials warranty on Owens Corning shingles. Like most national roofing companies, Best Choice does not give pricing estimates over the phone. Instead, customers can schedule a free on-site evaluation. During the visit, a representative will review costs, payment options, deposits and material choices. Pricing varies by project size and location; therefore, in-person inspections are the most reliable way to obtain accurate information.

Services offered

  • Roof repair, replacement and installation

  • Free roof inspections

  • Roof cleaning

  • Gutter services

  • Skylight installation and repair

Best Choice Roofing offers several financing options, which many customers choose to use. Homeowners can also pay by check, card or other methods, which a representative will review during the appointment.

Best Choice Roofing is accredited by the BBB with an A+ rating. The company has received about 80 complaints over the past three years, which is typical for a national contractor of its size. Inspectors and project managers are employed directly by the company, while installation crews are subcontractors, a standard industry practice. Best Choice conducts background checks on in-house employees, although the results do not automatically prevent hiring decisions.

Tennessee roofing FAQs

How much does the average roof replacement cost in Tennessee?

Most homeowners in Tennessee spend about $8,500 on a full roof replacement, according to This Old House . Prices can range from $6,703 to $20,071 based on the size of your roof, the materials you choose and how steep or complex the roof design is. For additional guidance, see our guide to roof replacement costs .

How do I know if my roof needs repairs or a full replacement?

Most small roofing issues, like a few missing shingles or minor flashing problems, can usually be fixed with a simple repair. More serious signs, such as leaks, water stains, sagging or widespread shingle damage, often indicate the roof is failing and may need to be replaced. Age also plays a role, since older roofs with repeated problem areas are less likely to benefit from patching. Our guide to roof repairs vs. replacement explains more.

Are there roofing regulations or permits required in Tennessee?

In Tennessee, roofing contractors must be licensed through the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance . Many cities also require a roofing permit before any work starts, and it is the responsibility of the homeowner or contractor to secure it. Permit rules can vary by city, so it is worth checking with your local building office before scheduling a project. Read our guide to Tennessee roofing licensing and regulations to learn more.

How long does a roof typically last in Tennessee?

Tennessee's strong winds and frequent storms can shorten the lifespan of asphalt shingle roofs, which often last around 20 years in the state. Metal roofs generally hold up much longer, often 30 to 50 years, thanks to their better resistance to severe weather. For a closer look at the typical lifespan of different roofing materials, read our explainer .

What is the best time of year to replace a roof in Tennessee?

Many Tennessee roofers consider September the best time for a roof replacement since the weather is usually more predictable. Spring and summer can work well too, though homeowners often avoid May and June due to higher tornado activity in the Southeast. Winter is still an option, but very cold days can delay work, while shingles can generally be installed on milder winter days. Ultimately, the right timing comes down to the forecast, your contractor's availability and how urgently the project needs to be done.
