The Atlanta Falcons cut dozens of players ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline, but several will return to Atlanta as members of the practice squad. The team has already signed seven players to its 16-man practice squad , including cornerback Cobee Bryant , quarterback Easton Stick and wide receiver Nick Nash .
All three players were on the cusp of making the Falcons' 53-man roster but were left on the outside looking in at the deadline. Bryant and Nash -- two of Atlanta's most coveted undrafted free agents -- cleared waivers on Wednesday morning before signing with the practice squad.
Stick, who was released on Tuesday, still chose to return to the Falcons and could serve as the team's emergency third quarterback on game days this season. That wasn't all, though. Atlanta signed offensive linemen Ryan Hayes and Carter Warren to help make up for the loss of Kaleb McGary .
The team also signed running back Carlos Washington and cornerback C.J. Henderson . Washington was one of team's biggest surprise cuts as undrafted free agent Nate Carter secured that third running back spot behind Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier .
Henderson, a former top-10 pick, signed with Atlanta late in training camp. His release wasn't a total surprise, but his starting experience could come in handy if he's called up to the 53-man roster.
