The Carolina Panthers will have to finish out the 2025 campaign without one of their most versatile players.
As announced on Thursday, the team has placed offensive lineman Brady Christensen on injured reserve due to an Achilles rupture. The fifth-year veteran will now miss the remainder of the season.
Christensen sustained the injury in this past Sunday's 40-9 loss to the Buffalo Bills . Following the defeat, head coach Dave Canales detailed the severity of the setback to reporters.
"Unfortunately, Brady Christensen's got an Achilles," Canales stated . "It's a significant one. He's gonna be out. We're gonna miss him a lot. And just gives me a chance to talk about what he's meant to this group—the flexibility to play all across the line, in different spots, then playing great football for us. So we're really gonna miss Brady."
Christensen had been filling in at right guard for Pro Bowler Robert Hunt , who is currently out with a biceps tear. He'd be replaced by Jake Curhan for the final 13 offensive snaps in the Week 8 outing.
The Panthers, in a corresponding move, also announced the addition of quarterback Mike White to the active roster. White, a four-year veteran, was signed to the practice squad ahead of the Week 8 defeat.
He could serve as insurance in Week 9 to backup Andy Dalton , who sustained a thumb injury against the Bills.
