While it would've taken an absolute miracle, the Pittsburgh Steelers missed out on the grand prize that is superstar Micah Parsons — as the Dallas Cowboys are trading him to the Green Bay Packers .
On Thursday, the back-and-forth contract woes between the Cowboys and Parsons finally came to an end — as NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported the Packers were acquiring Dallas' superstar edge rusher, as well as helping him surpass T.J. Watt as the highest-paid non-quarterback.
"The Cowboys are trading Micah Parsons to the Packers, who will sign him to a four-year, $188 million extension with $136M guaranteed," Pelissero wrote via X.
Following the blockbuster news, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the following trade package:
Cowboys receive:
-
DT Kenny Clark
-
Two first-round draft picks
Packers receive:
-
EDGE Micah Parsons
Considering the hefty haul sent by Green Bay , there was likely zero chance the Steelers could've competed with such a deal — even if Parsons did hint at joining Pittsburgh last February.
