- Tyler Booker celebrates with Jalen Milroe after NFL draft selection by Cowboys
Tyler Booker and Jalen Milroe may be heading their separate ways in the NFL, but that didn't stop the two Alabama football teammates from sneaking in one last moment together before that reality sets in.
And it was one that was catalyzed by a surprise.

Shortly after the former Crimson Tide offensive lineman was taken with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys , Booker appeared to have broken out the griddy inside the green room at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin with his former quarterback.

The Cowboys selecting Booker with the No. 12 overall pick extended Alabama's impressive NFL draft streak of at least one player taken in the first round to 17 consecutive years. As noted by The Tuscaloosa News, Booker allowed just two sacks in the 2,007 career snaps that he took on the Crimson Tide offensive line in his career in Tuscaloosa.

Booker was the fourth offensive lineman off the board in the draft and the first guard to be taken in the first round since 2022. In Dallas, Booker likely becomes the Cowboys' replacement for Zack Martin , who announced his retirement in late February.
Noted by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Booker will receive a four-year rookie deal with a fifth-year option as a first-round pick. The No. 12 overall pick holds a slot value of $20.2 million to $22.55 million, based on estimations from Spotrac and Over The Cap, respectively.
As for Milroe, he remains on the board with half of the first round to still play out in Green Bay. USA TODAY's Nate Davis has the New York Giants trading back into the first round with the Buffalo Bills to take the former Alabama quarterback with the No. 30 overall pick.
