The Denver Broncos placed safety Delarrin Turner-Yell (knee) on their practice squad/injured list on Tuesday, according to the NFL's transaction wire.
It's a heartbreaking development for Turner-Yell, who was just elevated from the practice squad on Saturday. The 26-year-old defensive back played on Sunday for the first time since he tore his ACL in Week 17 of the 2023 season. Two years after that injury, DTY suffered another knee injury in a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars .
A former fifth-round pick out of Oklahoma, Turner-Yell spent all of the 2024 season on injured reserve. He posted this message on his official Twitter/X page on Monday:
Denver now has no safeties remaining on the practice squad with one spot available.
