Drake Maye now is part of a club only that only included two other Patriots quarterbacks going into Week 17.
With a 30-yard pass to Efton Chism III in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the New York Jets , Maye reached the 4,000 passing yard mark.
The pass to Chism was the second play of New England ’s scoring drive of the game. It also marked the wide receiver’s first NFL catch.
The Patriots quarterback joins Tom Brady , who did it for the organization 11 times, and Drew Bledsoe, who accomplished the feat twice.
Maye continues to have a strong sophomore season as well as add to his MVP case. The 23-year-old’s 73.3 QBR going into the game against the Jets ranked first in the league.
