Drake Maye was brought down six times in Super Bowl LX, setting a new record for the most sacks suffered by a New England Patriots quarterback in a Super Bowl.
The previous franchise mark was five sacks, shared by Tom Brady and Drew Bledsoe. Maye's total moved him past that figure.
It reflected sustained pressure across the game rather than a single sequence.
Across all Super Bowls, Maye's six sacks tie him for the second most ever taken by a quarterback in the championship game.
He now sits alongside Patrick Mahomes , Cam Newton , and Joe Theismann at that total. The NFL record remains seven sacks, shared by Joe Burrow and Roger Staubach.
Maye finished one short of that mark while setting a new Patriots record. The sack total was confirmed in the official Super Bowl LX box score.
It became one of the defining statistical storylines of the Patriots' defeat.
