    No. 11 seed Texas pulled off the 74-68 upset against No. 3 seed Gonzaga on Saturday night.

    The Longhorns had lost five of their last six games heading into the NCAA Tournament , but the team remains on a heater heading to the Sweet 16.

    Matas Vokietaitis nearly produced a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds for the Longhorns. Jordon Pope also scored 17 points in the victory.

    Gonzaga needed to dig deep to get past No. 14 seed Kennesaw State in Thursday's first round and couldn’t do it again in the second round.

    Graham Ike scored 25 points for the Bulldogs . Gonzaga's struggles from the three-point line continued, making just 4-of-16 shots from long range.

    The score between the Longhorns and the Bulldogs remained close throughout the second half, but it was Texas who outscored Gonzaga 39-35 in the period.

    Texas and Gonzaga continue to battle

    The Bulldogs and the Longhorns have continued to exchange leads throughout the second half. Texas leads Gonzaga 49-47 with 11:43 left in the second half. Both teams have scored 14 total points.

    Matas Vokietaitis and Jordan Pope have scored 11 points each for the Longhorns. Graham Ike has scored 15 points for the Bulldogs so far.
