FOXBOROUGH - Mike Vrabel took a moment before fielding questions at his Wednesday press conference to offer heartfelt condolences to former teammate and fellow Patriots Hall of Famer Kevin Faulk.
The three-time Super Bowl champion lost his 30-year-old daughter Tanasha, who died unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Oschner Lafayette Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana.
“I want to send anything we can, well wishes to Kevin and Latisha Faulk. Obviously, we’re all heartbroken,” Vrabel began. “Kevin was a teammate, he’s a huge part of this legacy here of this football team. The impact that he made here, and coaching in college, and how much he loved LSU, I’m sure there’s no words to describe what they’re going through.
“But I just wanted to make sure everybody knows that we care deeply about Kevin and his family, and our thoughts and prayers are with him.”
Tanasha’s death comes four years after Faulk and his wife Latisha lost their 19-year-old daughter Kevione.
In the obituary, Tanasha was remembered for her “vibrant spirit, her deep devotion to those she loved, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.”
