Now that the Heat's season is over , the chatter regarding their pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo has been revived. The writing on the wall is clear for Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks , and trading the superstar forward seems a win-win situation for both camps.
According to multiple reports, the Heat sent feelers to the Bucks ahead of the trade deadline in February. The offer for Antetokounmpo supposedly included Tyler Herro , Kel'el Ware, and draft assets. Milwaukee, however, stayed pat.
Following the Heat's performance in the Play-In Tournament, NBA insider Marc Stein wondered if the Bucks would be willing to revisit the Heat's package.
"One quick thought on Giannis that I suspect some of you had as well while watching Miami's one-point loss in overtime Tuesday in Charlotte in the East's first of three play-in games this week: Kel'el Ware sure looked good. Didn't he?" wrote Stein on his Substack.

"Makes you wonder how much more attractive Milwaukee will find Miami's inevitable trade offer for Antetokounmpo if Ware, as expected, is in it."
The 22-year-old Ware tallied 12 points, 19 rebounds, four assists, and five steals against the Hornets, stepping up admirably after Adebayo exited the game in the second quarter.
The Bucks are expected to undergo a major overhaul in the offseason following their disastrous campaign. Parting ways with Antetokounmpo, who recently issued a defiant message , is viewed as the major step, and getting a young player with a high upside like Ware might not be so bad.
