Hannah Stuelke is playing professional basketball, but things almost saw her hang up the shoes just before taking the next step.

Just two years ago, Caitlin Clark was dominating the college basketball charts at the Iowa Hawkeyes. However, she wasn’t a one-man army.

After four years with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Hannah Stuelke is taking her talents to the professional level after signing her first contract.

Caitlin Clark, coming off an injury-riddled 2025 campaign, and the Indiana Fever are getting set for the upcoming 2026 WNBA season. The Fever have already made several moves in free agency to build their roster, including re-signing Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham. Indiana also had three selections in Monday’s 2026 WNBA Draft and utilized, selecting South Carolina guard Raven Johnson with the No. 10 pick in the first round.

Adding another distinction to their resumes, Iowa women's basketball stars Ava Heiden and Hannah Stuelke have been named WBCA All-America honorees.
