Bolstering interior protection and the defensive edge, San Francisco swaps underperforming blockers for a veteran presence while securing vital pass-rush insurance as the preseason intensity ramps up.

The 49ers signed defensive lineman Victor Dimukeje and offensive lineman Nick Zakelj to one-year deals, the team announced Monday.

Mounting injury concerns forced San Francisco to swap the sidelined Nick Zakelj for veteran Doug Kramer Jr., leaving Brock Purdy as the final 2022 draft pick standing.

The 49ers have made a pair of roster moves on Monday.

San Francisco maintains offensive line depth by extending Nick Zakelj on a one-year deal.

The 49ers are keeping one of their impending free agents from hitting the open market.
