Has it really been two years already?

Meredith Gaudreau, the widow of former NHL star Johnny Gaudreau, said the tragic events of the night him and his brother, Matthew were struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver in New Jersey "is just always replaying in my head."

On this day four years ago, the CBJ made what could be the biggest free-agent signing in NHL history by signing Johnny Gaudreau. No player of his caliber had ever reached free agency. Players like this are usually locked up long before hitting the open market.
