What's the right approach when you're betting on this stuff?
Is it when the line is first set?
Are you better off throwing some cash on it then?
Or are you better off waiting to see how the line normalizes over the course of three or Four days?
It's a great question, and I'd say it probably Depends on what you consider your level of expertise in betting.
Right?
So if you are somebody who's making your own numbers and you say, "Hey, I have the Seahawks, I have the Rams."
"My number is X," and you compare it to the opening number and it's different, Then I would bet right when the line comes out, right?
'Cause you're saying, "Hey, I have an advantage based on my numbers versus that."
I think Otherwise, which is for the majority of people, you probably just want to see how that line shifts, because people are going to be betting who probably have more information than you do.
Or better models, et cetera.
And you can see how the line moves, And ultimately, there isn't as big a difference, right, in some of these lines if it's minus one.
And a half to minus one to pick 'em.
There's not as big a difference.
Playoff lines are so much sharper 'cause There are also fewer games.
We now have 18 weeks of information on these teams and how injuries impact everyone.
So, you're unlikely to see as big a movement.
Uh, right.
We've already seen two points of movement between the Eagles and 49ers.
That's a big line move in the playoffs towards the Eagles.
But you're unlikely to see as much of that.
So, I think you probably want to wait.
See how those lines move a bit, and then as you do your research over the course of the week and feel better, even if you're getting into a, Quote, "worst line," I think that's probably the way you're gonna want to go for most people Who is the average, you know, bettor?
