Is this the biggest snub of the 21st century?
Bill Belichick is not a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame Committee did not induct Belichick, the lone coaching finalist eligible after leaving the Patriots in 2023.
Fans and sports media alike were stunned.
Here's what Tom Brady had to say: I don't understand it.
I mean, I was with him every day.
If he, if he's not a first-ballot Hall of Famer, there's really no coach that should ever be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
According to a report by ESPN, Bill Polian, a long-serving NFL executive whose career has spanned decades across multiple franchises, was a vocal figure in the Hall of Fame deliberations involving Bill Belichick, with Spygate and Deflategate coming up among voters during discussions.
He's now backtracking, saying he doesn't remember what happened, but fans are not buying it.
Mr. Bill Polian, sit down.
Just don't say anything.
You don't 100% recall whether you voted for him or not, but you recall everything else you said and what you didn't say, but you didn't recall whether you voted for the man.
Do you think Belichick is a first-ballot Hall of Fame coach?
