I kind of get it.

He's as good a coach as we have ever ever seen.

Those two scandals, however, did happen.

And both- Yeah... Can be true.

He's a Hall of Famer, he's gonna go to the Hall, but I understand it.

But I don't know that they need to play morality police in this situation.

You're either a Hall of Famer or you're not a Hall of Famer.

Yeah, I get the sentiment, and the thing is, if you know Bill, and you've ever spoken to Bill, and you know- Mm-hmm...

I've, I've had a few rare opportunities to talk to Bill, you know, one-on-one.

This is something that matters to him, right?

Like, he is a true football historian.

I don't know how many people who have been associated with the game of football.

And the NFL in particular, who are alive today, who know more about, the NFL coaches, teams, dynasties, than Bill Belichick does.

He, he truly feels the gravity of what the NFL is, and I do think being a first-ballot Hall of Fame, is something that mattered to him.

So the fact that this happened is, It's a really big deal, and I will say this, it's interesting.

Number one, that, you know, Bill Polian weighs in, and that, you know, the gravity that has in the room.

Now, I don't have a vote, And, and I, I'll be honest with you, having an AP panel vote and knowing how about that, and not having a Hall of Fame vote, I'm very happy right now.

I don't Fame vote... Because I can speculate on this, right?

And I know a number of Hall of Fame voters that I respect to the highest degree, and I can recall conversations in the past with those individuals about Bill, and the fact that, you know, Spygate was going to have an orbit around his Hall of Fame candidacy.

And, and Deflategate as well.

Now, I'll ask you this.

Well, we'll, and we can get to the Bill thing, too, and, And actually, we, we might, maybe we can get to this a little bit later.

But I will just raise it now.

If this was held against Bill, will Deflategate be held against Tom Brady?

I have to wonder, if this happens to Bill, is Tom Brady not a first-ballot Hall of Famer?

I would say, no, of course not.

But is he not a unanimous first-ballot Hall of Farmer?

I don't care about the- I think it's a question you can raise.

I, I, I don't care if he's unanimous or not.

Either you're a Hall of Famer or you're not a Hall of Famer.

And he should be.

Okay.

Tom Brady should be a first-ballot Hall of Fam, I don't like the public shaming, because that's what this is.

Like, if you make somebody pay their penance and wait a year, that is just public shaming.

That's all that is.

Now, right...

If you think he deserves to be in the Hall, put him in the Hall.

At the same time, I do get it that people publicly wanna mention and wanna hold it against him.

It is part of his football story.
