Could Matthew Stafford finish his career as a top-5 quarterback of all time?

Yeah, I, I feel like it's, maybe a little bit too rich for my blood, and I'm one of Stafford's biggest defenders.
I mean, going back with the Lions, I just think you look, you know, the biggest thing was, oh, he doesn't win playoff games, and then the first playoff game he's going up against Drew Brees and Sean Payton, and he has four total touchdowns, and his defense gives up 45 points.
So I, I feel like that's kind of how we started, where, you know, there are a lot of people that are like, "Well, Stafford started out 0 and 3 in his career," and, look, I don't think it should be that, by the way.
I don't think, like, if he wins another ring, I, I don't think that automatically it makes him a better player.
I think right now we're looking at him getting better i- in a rarity at that.
Age 38 last year, everyone's worried about the back.
And so he comes in last year, and it's like, yeah, you know, didn't have really much of a rapport with Davante Adams in training camp because he wasn't in training camp.
It was Jimmy Garoppolo.
You'd never know it because he ends up, you know, winning the MVP.
And now this year he's had more camp, and he's had that rapport with, you know, Davante Adams and, you know, I'm excited to, to see what he can do.
But, you know, as far as the top five, top seven, I have no issue with anybody having an opinion.
I think Dan really knows this team well.
He knows Stafford well, his days with the Lions and, you know, s- he was also with the Rams, and he was around Sean McVay.
You know, so that's something to keep in mind.
But I think, you know, with Matthew Stafford, the story isn't written yet, so why are we trying to, to write it as if, like, he's gonna win r- one ring, and then that, that's his career?
You know, he talked to Drew Brees this off-season, and basically it sounds like he's open now to playing into his 40s, which is something he wasn't before.
So what I would say is this: Matthew Stafford is one of the most talented quarterbacks to ever grace this sport.
Where he ranks all time, I don't think it's fair to the guys all time to now rank a guy who hasn't finished his career yet and say he's gonna be top five, top seven.
That's just my opinion.
