I thought the Cowboys taking Caleb Downs at 11 was another absolute steal.
And look, they just jumped up one spot.
They just swapped with the Dolphins.
They just gave what, two fifth round picks to do it?
Like, no big deal.
Smart for the Cowboys, I think, to just go ahead, trade up one spot, get their guy.
You heard Nick Saban on the broadcast last night gloating about Caleb Downs.
Nick Saban said that Caleb Downs is one of his favorite players that he has ever coached.
Remember, Caleb Downs was at Alabama before he transferred to Ohio State.
We're talking about Nick Saban.
He's coached a lot of good players now.
So I, I, I loved this pick.
I thought Caleb Downs went a little bit later than initially anticipated, so he fills a need, he adds a motor, he adds a really high IQ to a Dallas Cowboys defense that needs it badly.
You know, I was hearing from, people just in the days before the draft that Downs was the favorite player for them.
He was the best player in the entire draft to them, but most complete athlete, so not just best defensive player, but most complete athlete, so certainly a big steal-
