Second year running back, Jayden Blue.
And look, I know we've had some fun at producer Colin's expense about Jayden Blue on this show, but I do think this is a good year to maybe get back on the Jayden Blue bandwagon because, man, what they were saying about Jayden Blue last off-season versus what the team is saying this year.
You remember like last season all through, you know, kind of mini camp it was like, "Jayden Blue, professionalism maybe not looking that great out there."
They have been definitely singing this guy's praise all throughout the course of the off-season.
The, the drumbeat has been real out of training camp on Jayden Blue, and they are actually making a, a kind of a, a, a point to get him involved in the offense.
And frankly, Boone, like I do think they need to do that.
I was listening to, like, my buddy Robert Mays at The Athletic Football Show.
He had, Cowboys offensive coordinator Clayton Adams on the show not too long ago.
I listened to that conversation because it was just sup- super fascinating, really great to hear Clayton's approach.
But one of the things that stood out to me from that conversation, and this was before Cowboys training camp, Clayton Adams was highlighting like, yeah, he loved their run game, the design was great last year, but the, the one thing that was keeping him up at night was the fact that they didn't hit enough explosive plays last year in the run game.
They're, they were super successful, super efficient, and that's obviously Javante Williams' game.
He's super successful, super efficient, and I don't think any, anything All, all the things I'm saying right now have nothing to do with like let's bump Javante Williams down the rankings.
As a matter of fact, I actually really love where Javante Williams goes in drafts, and he's a guy I'm proactively targeting.
But I do think they wanna mix in a guy like Jayden Blue a little bit to hit those explosive plays.
Like the fact that Adams said that in this interview prior to training camp, and then the drumbeat basically before and after that is, "Yeah, we wanna get Jayden Blue more involved," I think there is some signal to that, Boone.
This is a good offensive environment.
This is an intriguing young player with a skill set that they need.
