How does the NFL supplemental draft work?

Does everyone here know how the supplemental draft works and what you have to have or not have to be in the supplemental draft?
I do, but I will have you explain it to the audience because you are brilliant.
Oh, thanks, Fitz.
Wow.
Oh, we're gonna have good vibes on this June, this June morning.
I'm loving it.
you gotta be ineligible.
You gotta be in trouble.
You cannot be an NCAA eligible football player and enter the NFL supplemental draft.
There are other reasons for that we won't unpack today, but basically it's, it's to prevent a flood of NCAA talent from leaving their current positions at schools outside of the normal draft process.
That's the shortest way to explain it.
So what happened yesterday was that Sorsby withdrew his complaint where the injunction was granted, thus returning him to ineligibility with the NCAA for the gambling, thus allowing him to go to the supplemental draft.
Now, the shortest way to explain the supplemental draft is there is a kind of micro version of the NFL draft that occurs, and the difference here is there's a small pool of players and everybody goes around in order and there's a first round, and everybody says, "All right, does anybody want Brandon Sorsby?"
You get anybody?
It's, it's very much like auctioning off leftovers in a fridge.

Okay.
And then everybody says no once, and so that's the first round.
And then we go around and we go, "Hey, does anyb- really, seriously, chicken piccata.
Does anybody want chicken piccata again?"
And then we go around, "Okay, your mom made it.
It's fine.
It's good.
Just reheat it.
You can like put a little, like crumbles on it."
Okay?
Until someone says, "Yes, I will take the chicken piccata," which in this case is Brandon Sorsby and his damaged career.
Whatever round they take him in, however many times you go around, is the, is the pick you then forfeit for the following draft.
So if we, i- so some team takes him in the third round of the supplemental draft, they're burning a third round pick.
