Josh Pate's preseason CFP title pick: Notre Dame over Texas
Josh Pate reveals his projected final four of Notre Dame vs. Indiana and Ohio State vs. Texas, then picks Notre Dame to win the national championship in August, calling Notre Dame vs. Texas an 'unbelievable' title game.

I'll take Notre Dame over Oregon.
That's my one seed, and they're sitting there rested.
They're ready to go.
They've got last year still fresh on their mind.
And what that would mean for Oregon, we can figure that out.
That's well down the road.
I think I'd go Indiana over Georgia.
The-- what, what I'm thinking there is if Indiana's in the playoff, they had the first-round game, and then they get Georgia, and this, this spot historically has not been good.
Indiana's the only team that's figured out how to play rested in the playoffs.
Georgia has, suffered twice in two years in this role.
So I think they make it a third year because in this scenario, that means Josh Hoover ended up being really good, and that means I've got Indiana, maybe the best coaching staff in the country, if not one of the top two, top three in the country.
Georgia staff not bad either.
But if Indiana's humming by that point, you probably have an edge at quarterback, I would guess.
Okay, LSU and Ohio State.
I'd lean Ohio State, and that's just an organization thing.
That's just they've got a bunch of folks who have been there, done that, and are trying to do it again.
That's Julian Sayin's second time around.
I just think I'd lean them at the moment.
And Miami and Texas, that's, that's really, really tough.
But I'm gonna lean Texas ever so slightly right now.
I'm gonna lean Texas.
That's a, that's a 51-49 coin flip virtually in my mind right now.
Your final four is Notre Dame, Indiana on one side of the bracket, Ohio State, Texas on the other side of the bracket.
What a time for the state of Indiana.
Just what a moment.
This is the biggest occurrence since the birth of Larry Bird, I would say, in the state of Indiana.
I think Notre Dame wins this game right now in August.
And on the other side, I think I would very so slightly lean Texas.
I think that that combination of players plus them getting on a roll in the postseason at its best is a really, really tough out.
And Notre Dame-Texas is an unbelievable national championship game.
