Is Malik Nabers still undervalued in fantasy drafts?

Yahoo Fantasy's Josh Norris and Joel Smyth debate if the Giants receiver should be going in the top-10 at the position.

Video Transcript

I think a lot of people just naturally was like, "Oh, Nabers looks good in training camp off injury.

He's perfect now, and we're going back to, like, his rookie days."

I think there's some things where, like, he did lead the NFL in targets as a rookie and finished as that wide receiver nine in half-point per game scoring.

And we just have different things with the Matt Nagy offense that scares me overall.

Jaxson Dart also just doesn't throw the ball as much, even when he is dropping back.

So another team I would expect- Yeah to be pretty run-heavy.

Dart scrambles a lot.

I don't know if he's going to be, like, the number one receiver in targets this season.

So that's a little bit scary when you pair it with that offense who, when we look back, like the last three years in Kansas City, we haven't had too many great receivers outside of Rashee Rice, which is a little bit of a unique guy.

And then the four years in Chicago, his best receiver was the wide receiver 15 one year, and that was Allen Robinson.

I'm ahead of you.

So consensus rankings are right in line.

They have him as wide receiver 12.

He's going as wide receiver 15 on Yahoo at this point.

So hopefully if you listen to this conversation, no matter what, you are gonna take Malik Nabers 'cause that is a heavily undervalued, price.

I have him as wide receiver nine.

I just think- Yeah like in the wide receiver area that he is selected, he is just simply more talented than all those guys.

And while we've gotten so much bad news in this preseason, especially with players that enter training camp with injuries, it has only been positive with Malik Nabers.

And it sounds like he's gonna be 100% snap player or 100% of what his normal usage is heading into week one.

And I mean, that puts him, for me, ahead of A.J.

Brown, George Pickens, DeVonta Smith, roughly 22nd overall.

And so I understand, like, that- that's really aggressive, and it comes down to not having any questions about him as an individual.

But yeah, I go back to what you're saying.

There, there might be some environmental concerns here with like, the Matt Nagy, Greg Roman, Jaxson Dart combination.

And overall, I think this team's gonna run the heck out of the football, right?

But when they do throw it, I, I, I do believe, especially if they run a ton of 12 personnel and people are drafting Isaiah Likely as if they are, then a lot of targets should be funneled in the direction of Malik Nabers.
