Max Muncy last night passed Eric Karros on the all-time Dodger Stadium home run list.
We talk so much about Shohei Ohtani, and we talk so much about the starting pitching staff.
We talk about Freddie Freeman.
We talk so m- about so many pieces of this Dodgers team.
Often Max Muncy gets overlooked.
How important is he to this Dodgers team in a potential three-peat?
I think it's huge.
Like, on any other roster, we would talk about Max Muncy as being a certified dude, but if you look at the numbers over the last five or six years, he has been a certified dude for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
It's not just the homers at Dodger Stadium, Caroline.
He has the most homers in postseason history for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Like, you're talking about a guy that in the big moments steps up and steps up in a big way.
Max Muncy has been huge for the Dodgers over the years.
He's been a model of consistency, and he has turned into a guy they need, especially w- when the guys have been in and out of the lineup, when they've had injuries, when they've had, you know, th- their lineup, like this year, hasn't necessarily performed at the level that many thought they would perform at.
Max Muncy has been a guy that you could say, "Okay, we know Max is gonna do what he normally does, have that .550 slugging percentage, get on base at a high clip, mash right-handed pitching.
We don't have to worry about that."
But I do think when it's all said and done and Max Muncy retires, we're gonna look back and say, "You know what?
This is a pretty damn good third baseman in a lineup with a lot of MVPs
