Michael Penix Jr. cleared to practice — Can he still be Falcons’ franchise QB?

Michael Penix been cleared to return to 11-11 work according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.
He's working his way back from the torn ACL he suffered in his knee last season, which is just one of many injuries he suffered throughout his career, going all the way back to college.
And now we've got a competition going between Penix and Tua for the starting job.
Tua, according to everybody that's been watching it down there up close and personal, has looked god awful.
But when a handful of these, these sort of bust opportunities, so Michael Penix Jr, is it beginning to look a lot like bust-mas for Michael Penix Jr?
It's looking like he's, he's bustin' Timberlake for sure.
The injuries- they're, they're just too much.
And it goes back to his time at Indiana.
Tore his ACL at Indiana.
He had multiple ACL tears in college.
He was at Indiana before he was at Washington, to all of the people who are about to correct me in the comments.
And then now he's been injured in the NFL.
It just, those things just continue to stack up, and if you continue to get injured, and you're on the sidelines, and you don't get real life game reps going into year three in the NFL, and now we are in a quarterback battle with a g- guy that a lot of us have just kind of written off as, as somebody who's not a legitimate starting quarterback in this league, then yeah, it is looking like you're a bust when you were a first round pick.
Remember on draft night when it was, "This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
How could they invest all that money in Kirk Cousins and then draft Michael Penix Jr?"
And then it started to look in year one like maybe they'd done the most brilliant thing ever, and suddenly it was like, "No, we gotta rethink everything."
Now Kirk Cousins is maybe gonna be the starter in Vegas, and Michael Penix Jr. Can't beat out Tua.
Just shows you how wild this entire trajectory has been.
And of course he's close to V- to, to bustville at this point, like party of one.
A- and you can't rely on him to stay on the field.
When he's been on the field, it just hasn't been good enough at this point.
And the fact that he's competing with Tua just shows you how poorly this has gone.
They thought they were drafting their quarterback of the future.
I sat there on Yahoo Sports doing the draft show when all of our mouths dropped because Michael Penix Jr. Was selected so high.
But everybody said, "No, no, no, they know what they're doing."
Turns out they did not
