Signing with the Rams, a one-year, $20 million deal, playoff incentives up to 30 million bucks.
I don't know where they just found the $30 million in the sofa pizza money, but they did.
They managed to get it back, so now all of a sudden just how scary is this D line now that they have Aaron Donald back?
I mean, this is a defensive line that we're gonna be talking about in, like, 30 years.
This is a Rams defense that I, I'm gonna be telling my kids about.
Of, like, yeah, once upon a time, the 2026 NFL season, Aaron Donald and, a- a- and Myles Garrett played on the same defensive line.
I mean, this is like if Lawrence Taylor and Reggie White played on the same defense.
It's historic.
It's obscene.
It's ridiculous.
And I think it's also something that we should have saw coming.
Like, if you were surprised yesterday, yesterday when you saw the news of Aaron Donald, you know, coming out of retirement and rejoining the Rams, I, I don't know where you've been the last couple of months.
As soon as the Rams signed or traded for Myles Garrett, we knew that this was going to be a possibility.
And a defense that I already thought was Super Bowl caliber, a team that I already thought had a Super Bowl upside and even a Super Bowl expectation, just added Aaron freaking Donald, who is an alien sent from planet football.
Like, I mean the more and more that the Rams continue to push all of their chips into the middle, and it feels like Aaron Donald is probably that last piece before the season kicks off, the more and more they elevate their ceiling, and the more and more the pressure builds to where it's Super Bowl championship or bust.
Certainly.
And look, I, I think two things can be true here.
I think it's Super Bowl championship or bust.
I also think the schedule is really brutal this year.
So- It is I'm just gonna start screaming now for everybody to relax when they start a little slow.
It doesn't mean it's the end of the world.
And if they go through this year and then if it's a regular season and they win 11 games, there's gonna be a lot of people that are screaming their heads off, but it's not about that.
It's about what you do in the playoffs.
Now, I do have some marginal concerns.
I mean, Aaron Donald just turned 35.
The last time he was on a football field, he was, 32 about to turn 33.
There's a big difference between being in a car wreck, which is what they say Studies have shown every single collision between an offensive and defensive line is the same on a body in a car wreck.
There's a difference between going through a massive car accident at 32 and a massive car accident at 35.
