The Los Angeles Rams are never scared to make a big deal, and they just made one of the biggest deals in NFL history.
The Rams sent Jared Verse a first-round pick and other draft compensation to the Cleveland Browns for Myles Garrett, who was just coming off setting a single-season NFL sack record.
Why is this one of the biggest trades in NFL history?
'Cause it's rare of a player in Garrett's prime, at his level, to be traded.
Garrett is arguably the best player in the NFL.
He's won two NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards, just a dominant player for the Browns, and now the Rams add him to a defense that had already added Trent- Trent McDuffie this off-season, the cornerback from the Kansas City Chiefs.
It seemed like that was the Rams' big move, shoring up their cornerback room, but they're never really content.
They wanna push for a Super Bowl, and this was their big move, getting Garrett.
For the Browns, it seems a little light.
Jared Verse is a very, very good player.
First-round pick will come in handy, but this is Myles Garrett, who's going to the Hall of Fame someday.
Now he gets his chance to play for a Super Bowl contender.
That's great for him.
We'll see how the Browns' end of this trade works out in a few years.
But for the Rams, it's pretty obvious.
They just added an elite, elite player who's gonna be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, changes their entire defense.
The rest of the NFL should be pretty worried because right now the Rams are Super Bowl favorites, and it's not even a close second.
