Texas A&M bounced back last season, but the Aggies continue to win?
Josh Pate ranks the Aggies eighth in his list of the top ten programs over the next five years -- noting they're sitting on a mountain of cash with a hungry fan base motivated by Texas and Texas Tech, but they need to clear the hurdle of winning in the playoffs after a first-round exit last year.

This is where it gets really difficult.
Give me Texas A&M at number eight.
Talent I don't think is gonna lack there, although I'm very, very interested to see offensive line this year, 'cause I know their feeling is their depth at that position is really good.
They just lost, I think, four or five, and so this is, this is a good indicator, 'cause the feedback we've gotten from them is, "We, we like our depth there.
Now we gotta figure out who's gonna play where, but we like the depth."
If that starts to become a hallmark where they just backfill, backfill, backfill, and it's like a bunch of names that you didn't know coming into the year that end up being standouts, well, that's, truthfully, that's what I expect a Mike Elko program to be.
that is his hallmark as a head coach, and it was the book on him at Duke, and I expected it to be the book on him at Texas A&M.
So if that starts to pan out, they're too low at number eight, 'cause they're sitting on a mountain of cash.
they're sitting on a really, really hungry, charged fan base.
Make no mistake, they are heavily motivated by what's happening in Austin, Texas, and vice versa.
That works both ways, and then both of them are looking out at Lubbock saying, "Hold up, that's happening out there, too."
So there's all the motivation in the world to put a national championship product on the field.
They've gotta learn to win.
that's a, that's a skill that is acquired.
I don't really think you're born with that, and Texas A&M made the playoff last year and then got beat in their own building in round one by a really good team.
That's the next hurdle for them.
Over the next five years, I think they'll clear it, but that's the next hurdle for them
