Is there any value in betting the Rams to win the Super Bowl?

Over the past 30 years, the preseason favorite with plus 500 odds or better has never won the big game, having gone O for 20.
Will the Rams be the first team to win it all with these odds?
That tweet coming from senior betting analyst Ben Fox, who joins us now to talk all things football betting.
Ben, appreciate your insight as always and appreciate you for being here.
Let's start there.
We know that no team with plus hundred odds or shorter has won the Super Bowl in the last 20 years, but do you think the 2026 Rams can buck this trend?
I do.
I, I feel like I have a wishy-washy answer which is probably, but we're not really sure.
I, I, I think the odds are interesting in this case because they're a little, I think, deceiving right In that the--we see the Rams, we've heard all off season, they go out, they trade, they have a better secondary, they get Aaron Donald, they traded for Miles Garrett And we see again with all that entire list, right?
Some of those seasons They're also our kind of joint favorites, I believe like two thousand five, right?
You had their, the Colts, the Patriots, and the Eagles all at plus five hundred.
Sometimes there isn't kind of that gap, right where there's one clear favorite.
And in this case the Chiefs are plus oR excuse me The Rams are plus five hundred and then we don't have another team except let's say the Bills or the Ravens at ten to one.
I don't think that really means the Rams have twice as good an opportunity To Win the super bowl.
I think oddsmakers have bumped that up a bit just knowing that the public is betting the rams talking to some oddsmakers Everyone loves those cross sport parlays now So A lot of people betting the Rams to win the Superbowl Plus the Dodgers to win the World Series and adding on some other sports As well.
The Rams are gonna be really popular.
They clearly have the best roster in the NFL.
I think this schedule, we were just talking off air ,I think the schedule was a little bit of a nightmare especially that Australia game Who knows what's going to happen in terms of travel whether or not them getting there late is the right decision And you look at the first five weeks they also after they come home After that forty niners game they play the Giants There then At Denver At eagles and against the bills so that Is a really difficult First Five Weeks Coming Off Of An Australian Game Where We Have No Idea What That'S Gonna Look Like Matthew Stafford Has The Older Quarterback As Well SO i Think They Certainly Can Do It THEY'RE favored Right Now IN sixteen OF Seventeen Games But I Don'T THINK THIS IS GONNA BE KIND OF A RUNAWAY IN THE WAY THAT IT'S LIKE WOW THe RAM---IT'S RAmS AND Everybody Else Because Also DUE TO THat Fact THEY ARE VERY Star LADEN AND STAR heavy They'Re ALSO Thinner AT depth RIGHT AND sO IF LET'S SAY SOMEBODY GOES DOWN WHETHER tHAT'S A QUARTERBACK OR MILES GARRET ET CETERA THEY DON'T HAVE NECESSARILY THE DEPTH AT SOmE OF Those POSITIONS Than Another MORE Balanced ROSTER Might SO If EVERYONE StAYS Healthy if MATTHEW STAFFORD ESPECIALLY STAYS HEALTHY thEY HaVE A TERRIFIC SHOT BUT I DOn'T THINK This Is Kind OF LiKE A RamS Then EVeryone ELSE A Participation Trophy ThiS SEASON .it's the nfl WE SEE Every SINGLE YEAR thaT'S WHY IvE RESEARCHED ThaT STAT ANd I Was SURPRISED IT WAS Zero OF twenty BuT IT'S Why ALL OF thoSe TEAMS EVEN WITH ThoSE ODDS AND KiND OF HAVING THAT POTENTIAL CHANCE TO WIN THE SUPERBOWL Generally SOMETHING HAPPENS ITS THE NFL Its ONE GAME Anything CAN Happen Especially IN The playoffs
