The Forty-Niners just signed veteran running back Khalil Herbert, not because he's good, simply because they need bodies at running back.
Jordan James is out indefinitely with broken ribs.
Isaac Garreo is out indefinitely because he's injured and not good, and Kaylen Black left last practice with an injury as well.
So Khalil Herbert, come on down.
What's Good to know about Chlele Herbert is he was pretty good like three years ago on the Bears from 2021 to 2023, solid backup running back.
Now he's just a, a journeyman floating from team to team, and if he has to play any snaps for the Forty-Niners, that's not good.
But he's beside the point.
The point is that all the running backs are hurt except for McCaffrey and it's freaking August 2nd.
What At what point do the 49ers just get a new trainer, and at what point do they acknowledge that the, the, the substation is an issue?
I mean, Robert Salah was recently on like, uh, pardon my Take or whatever, and they asked him about the substation if he's feeling better now that he's not there, and he laughed and he's like, you know, it can't be nothing.
It's gotta be something.
He's like, maybe it's like death by 1000 paper cuts.
That was his line.
It feels like the 49ers die from.
Uh, a death of 1000 paper cuts every year and it seems like they've already got a dozen.
And I mean, Stribling's hurt, that's the first pick, Rmelo Height.
Stribling's got a hamstring, Romelo Height elbow, Kaylen Black, God knows what, um .
And who was the next pick?
Grayson Holden, knee.
So the top 4 picks are hurt.
Um, but the substation isn't an issue and the training staff is A plus.
Hard to take this team seriously.
