As we, open up, the preseason on Thursday, we're gonna get to see Anthony Richardson starting at quarterback- for the Colts here, Tom.
Listen, Danny Dimes, all indications are he's gonna be ready to go to start the season, which is actually pretty impressive.
But, you know, you What do you got?
Riley Leonard there, battling for that number two job behind Danny Dimes.
But I You drafted him, what?

A couple of years ago.
I guess you gotta figure out whether or not he can actually play.
Is that what this is here, Tom?
It Whether or not he can actually play, it's also a good opportunity to, for the Colts to potentially use this as a showcase if he wants to be traded.
He requested a trade earlier in the off-season, if I remember correctly, something along those lines.
Listen, if he wants- Yep to be traded, you gotta go out there and perform.
The Colts need a, a reason to actually trade you, and they have to, you know, be able to get something back.
So if he goes out there and plays well, you know, a team's gonna give you a sixth-round pick, a fifth-round flyer on this guy.
Because if he's not, they're not gonna trade him because they can't find a suitable offer, and then there's no reason for them to cut him because they can just keep him on the roster, you know, essentially indefinitely as the QB3, and he just loses the job.
So it's a, it's almost a win-win for himself where if he plays well, he can go to a new opportunity.
And it would Yeah, it would be great for the Colts if they could actually get I don't know.
Well, listen, you're never gonna recoup from spending, what?
