Arman Tsarukyan says he would defeat prime Khabib: 'I’m more well-rounded'
Arman Tsarukyan said he would beat a prime Khabib Nurmagomedov by decision, a rare public comparison among elite UFC lightweights. In comments to influencer Nawid Yosufi, Tsarukyan described Arman Tsarukyan vs Khabib Nurmagomedov as a decision outcome, stating, "It's probably a decision… My skills, I'm more well-rounded than him."Nurmagomedov (29-0) retired as the undefeated UFC lightweight champion in 2020 and is widely regarded among the sport's greats. Tsarukyan (23-3) is viewed as one of the top active contenders and pushed Islam Makhachev in a short-notice UFC debut in 2019. He was later scheduled to challenge Makhachev for the lightweight title but withdrew due to injury, affecting his position in the title picture. Tsarukyan has remained active in wrestling competitions.
