A lot to be, you know, positive about, man.
Three, we, we came this close.
We even had one swing where we could've tied this game, still up in the eighth inning.
We could've changed the complexity of this game, so it's tough to sweep anybody on any day, anywhere.
I don't care who you playing.
And, it would've been a magnificent feat had it happened, but the one thing that they do know is that the A's were in Seattle this weekend, and they did some damage up in there.
Let's get to the Toyota Turning Point, and we're gonna look at that fourth inning.
This is what's really interesting, is when Gage Jump really learns a change-up, it will He'll become a different guy, 'cause he has the plus fastball.
He has the breaking ball.
This was a long at-bat against Julio Rodriguez, who's really struggling.
Cal Raleigh's really struggling.
You gotta have pitches that go away from the right-handers, especially when they, they wanna be dead red fastball guys.
The breaking ball to Cal Raleigh wasn't down enough.
This, this will be one he's not gonna be happy about, and we saw that with the video of him leaving the dugout, whether he wasn't happy with being taken out or he wasn't happy with the outing.
This is the kinda kid that, that expects a lot out of himself, and this was a tough inning for him.
Well, he'll get four days to think about it.
He'll get a chance to work with the pitching coach, go look at some video, look at some adjustments that he can make.
They know better than we do, what he needs in his repertoire, what needs to work in order for him to have success.
Any starting pitcher in this game, the criteria is to have three pitches that you can, can command and one that you can go to any time as far as a put-away pitch is concerned because the rest of the guys sit in the bullpen, unless you're special, that number one is 97 and 98 like Gage Jump has.
That is a dominant pitch.
The change-up, he's shown that it is a viable pitch.
And when he tightens up his slider a little bit, there are some things.
I mean, he got Cal Raleigh to swing over the top of two balls that dove right into the dirt.
So it's there.
It's just a matter of getting reps, understanding.
And the great thing about it, he's gonna get older-
