Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey making only 12 and a half million this year, not practicing for nearly two weeks due to tightness.

His coach says it's not a hold-in.

I say hold up, hold out, hold my beer.

Whatever.

They need to pay Christian McCaffrey to reflect this change in the market.

And Michael, here's Saquon Barkley on what running back contracts have done this off season.

I love it.

I love it.

That's how it's supposed to be.

Christian did it before me, I did it after Christian, and now we got three in a row.

I look forward to the, the next guy to do it.

You know, for a little short period of time, you know, it wasn't like that for every other position besides running back and you kind of can see that coming back to life, and, those guys are well deserving of it.

They're hell of a players.

They're, they make a lot of impacts i- in games for their teams.

Their, their team is different when they're not on the field.

So, you know, hopefully in the next five to 10 years, it keeps going higher and, you know, that's how it's supposed to go in my opinion.

The problem is relative to the other positions, it isn't going up the way that it should.

Dollar for dollar, give me Jahmyr Gibbs or Bijan Robinson at 22 million per year plus over Jackson Smith-Njigba at 42 million.

20 Jackson Smith-Njigba is not $20 million per year more valuable than Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs.

There's just no way.

Alec Pierce, who has been unable to practice this year, they're paying him 29 million a year in Indy.

Wow.

Give me give me- Yeah any day of the week Bijan Robinson or Jahmyr Gibbs.

It's $7 million per year cheaper.

It's just the function of the market, and it's unfortunate, but it's locked into that lower number, and that's not gonna change.

The number's going up, but relative to the other positions, it's still way too low.

Yeah, and y- you mentioned, you mentioned Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson versus Alex P- Alec Pierce.

How about his teammate?

Give me Jonathan Taylor.

Give me Jonathan Taylor- Yeah over Alec Pierce, because it really comes down to this, Mike, if you take away one of those guys, what does it mean for your offense?

So if you take Jahmyr Gibbs away from the Lions, w- what is his replacement gonna do?

I think we know.

Bijan Robin- what's his replacement gonna do for the Falcons?

What's Jonathan Taylor's replacement gonna do for the Colts?

It, it I don't know what it will take to get up to that level.

Saquon's right.

They're going in the right direction, but it still needs to be a little bit more.

I think both Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs wanted to get to 25.

They wanted to make the new floor 25, and I know that now because both of them have these escalator packages that if they hit everything, will get them to 25.

25 is what they were trying to do.

25 is the next frontier, and I don't know who the next guy is to get there.

Maybe it's Jeremiah Love in a few years.

I don't know.

Everybody's gotta have three years in before they're eligible for a second contract, but 25 is the next.

But the problem is, as it keeps going up, the rest of the positions will have the same experience.

Michael, welcome back.

Everybody's so happy that you're okay.

Everybody else- Thank you.

Good to be back enjoy your weekend.

We'll see you back here on Monday morning.
