Ben Johnson Defends Caleb Williams, Fires Back at Jaguars HC

The Chicago Bears have been getting plenty of coverage this offseason, which makes sense considering the impressive turnaround that Ben Johnson had in the first season of his Bears tenure.
He took the Bears to the divisional round of the playoffs, and they won the NFC North for the first time since twenty eighteen.
Caleb Williams had an impressive year under Ben Johnson as he set career highs in passing yards and touchdowns and, broke the Bears' single-season passing yards record, which was previously set by Eric Kramer in nineteen ninety-five.
Not everyone has been pleased with how much, coverage the Bears have been getting as, former-- as current Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Cohen went on an appearance, with a, Jacksonville, sports radio station and talked about how easy it is to, think of Baltimore material for his team.
He, simply brought up, the Twitter page for NFL Network and scrolled through mentioning how much Caleb Williams was featured.
Ben Johnson was asked about this at a recent press conference and, rebutted, Cohen's claim by, saying that the Bears have plenty of motivation a-around, Halas Hall as well.
They are currently the, uh-- he said that they are the number one regression candidate and, that while, Williams is, being mentioned a lot, he's used to being in the spotlight, so it didn't bother him very much.
Johnson is definitely, right as the Bears are predicted to win less games than they did last season.
PFF released their win total projections at the beginning of July, and the Bears' win total was set at nine and a half, which is, two wins less than they, had last year considering they went eleven and six.
The Chicago Bears are definitely, easy to talk about right now, but that doesn't mean that there is any lack of motivation, to find around Halas Hall for Ben Johnson to motivate his team with.
The Bears will still have a tough road to get back to the playoffs because that is just how difficult it is to win in the NFL and, things are definitely not gonna get easier for them especially with that first-place schedule they must now play which actually includes, teams like the Jaguars as they will face off on December sixth.
So we'll get a chance to see if, Johnson and Cohen can, rectify these comments at that point.
