Bills have multiple tough stretches in 2026
Chris Simms and Connor Rogers break down the Buffalo Bills 2026 schedule and the multiple tough stretches in has to begin the season and later in December.
Video Transcript
You mentioned it for the Bills when we talked about Denver.
Yeah.
Hard schedules.
Yes.
First five for Buffalo, they're at Houston, Detroit, Chargers, Patriots, at the Rams, then they play at the Raiders before their early bye week.
So the early bye week is good, but there's a lot of heavyweight fights on this schedule, Chris.
Yeah, I, I, again, my, my basic thing is the first five is, is up there with anybody in the sport.
A- if I was a quarterback, the last place I'd wanna I said Seattle is a play- I The last thing I'd wanna do to open the season is go play the Texans, okay?
It's the last thing.
Not enough time to prepare.
Oh my gosh.
You gotta deal with them, and they're gonna be foaming at the mouth, those crazy mofos they got down there in Houston.
So yeah, I mean, and then yeah, you see it there.
Detroit at home in the home opener, their new stadium.
I can't wait for that.
Way to go Buffalo with the grass field, too.
The Chargers, the Patriots, the Rams.
Here's another thing that jumps out to me, 'cause you were talking about this, too.
They have two stretches of playing on the road four out of five weeks.
Now, the first one, the bye week disrupts it a little bit.
Right.
But they're on the road, Rams, Raiders, bye week, home against the Ravens, on the road Vikings, Jets.
But then they have another run like that in December.
On the road against the Patriots, on the road against the Packers, home against the Bears, and then at Denver and at Miami.
Hey, that's, that's, that's, that's saying something there.
So even though all, not all those teams might be crazy talented, the way it lays out in the schedule and, and, and traveling, yeah, it's gonna be tough.
It is gonna be really tough.
And you know my thoughts on Buffalo.
I think they're gonna be damn good, but I don't know how good.
I'm not sure I'd put them in the Super Bowl window good.
They're to me just playoff good until I feel like I'm proven otherwise with what I see on the field.
Yeah.
Their, it's, their schedule across the board is difficult, and the only kind of, you know, lighter games they get is that they play in the division with the Dolphins and the Jets.
Yes.
Outside, I mean, yeah, they have the Raiders, and we think the Raiders will be better this year.
Right.
We also don't know when Mendoza's gonna be playing, which is a huge variable to me when I look at the Raiders.
You mean, the Mandalorian or what's the- That's, that's, yeah, yeah, the Fernandolorian.
The Fernandolorian.
Oh my goodness.
Well, I, I feel like we, at some point we need to show that.
We didn't even get into this yet.
we gotta, I mean, some of the, the schedule releases- Schedule release videos like it's so amazing they become a thing.
The Tennessee Titans one was my favorite.
That is amazing.
But I did like Kirk Kouchinz and, you know, the Mandalorian there and doing the stepbrother stuff and all that.
But yeah, but you're right, and, this Buffalo schedule, gonna be tough.
And you know, even when you look at teams like Jets, you know it's a desperation year.
It's a big year.
They've made a lot of moves, a lot of roster changes there.
So, you know, there's pressure on that Jets team, certainly to, to kinda show drastic improvement- Yeah if they all wanna keep their jobs there.
