Bowles Comments on Mike Evans' Departure from Buccaneers
In a statement posted to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' website, coach Todd Bowles said he "wishes Mike Evans well as he continues his Hall of Fame career."

Most free agents don't get statements from their former employer's ownership or head coach, but Mike Evans certainly wasn't most free agents.
This is Joe Smeltzer for Bucs Roundtable.
Todd Bowles released a statement on Evans a little after the Glazer family did, and Bowles kind of echoed the same sentiments of appreciating Evans' time here, wishing he could have retired a Buccaneer, and wishing him well in the future.
In Evans' case, that's with the San Francisco 49ers, who he signed a three-year, sixty million dollar deal with on the first day of free agency.
While he hasn't signed yet, he's agreed to the deal, but all expectations are that once he is allowed to sign, which will be Wednesday at four PM, that he will be officially a San Francisco 49er.
Now, Buccaneers fans are split on the move.
Some wish the Bucs had tried harder to keep Evans.
Others feel that the team will be just fine without him.
As with any deal, we won't know the full significance of it until a few years down the road.
But in any case, Mike Evans playing somewhere other than Tampa Bay is a weird thing to think about, and it's reality now.
