Obviously would have liked to have that last one back on 18, but nonetheless, six under today.
A great start, birdying four of your first five holes.
What was the key to being so hot right out of the gate?
Just trying to stay in the present as best I could.
I, I made some really nice putts, put good strokes on it on, one and three.
I got a really lucky bounce on three, kind of through the gulch, which it's nice.
You know, I feel like you get so unlucky sometimes out here, and- Mm-hmm that just kind of proves that it, it all evens out in the wash and, was able to capitalize and take advantage of that.
Made a really nice putt on five and kinda just tried to keep going from there.
Yeah, 30-footer.
We'll take it, right?
Yeah.
Well, along with that, last week you were right in the hunt going into Sunday.
You're in the hunt again this week in Detroit.
You mentioned that maybe you got too ahead of yourself last week.
What kind of mindset change are you trying to have coming into this final round?
Yeah, I, I'm just trying to focus on doing my job.
I mean, this is my, my job to play golf and I, I do it a lot and it's, you know, it's nothing abnormal.
And just try to remem- remind myself that, that, hey, when you're on the first tee, you've done this thousands of times and it's just another round of golf.
What do you like about the way your game's trending right now as well?
Yeah, I've been hitting the irons and wedges a lot better the last few weeks, and that's kind of been the big turnaround for me.
I'm converting a lot of putts this week.
I heard that I was third in short-game putting, which is, really cool, and just trying to kind of rely on, on the putting.
I, I really have struggled off the tee a little bit and hopefully I find some fairways tomorrow.
I know you mentioned this season you've made a couple of coaching changes, added a caddy as well.
Obviously an adjustment process that comes with that.
Yeah.
How much more comfortable are you feeling with those changes?
Yeah, it, was a bit of a hectic start of the year.
Made some changes.
I think in the long term it's gonna be for the better.
It's, I added Marcus Potter, my putting coach- and Siekmans, my kind of short game coach, and seen some really nice improvements with the putting and, I'm really excited about that.
Keep it up.
Best of luck tomorrow.
Thank you.
Yeah, thank you very much.
