How about the day that Rasmus Hjgaard had?
Got the party started on the first.
It made the cut on the number, birdie at one.
Now, you don't shoot 61, George, without getting this club on fire.
Check this out at the par three fifth.
Yeah, this hole's fantastic.
Redesigned this short par four, just playing 140 yards today.
Good shot.
Great control there on the proper side of the hole, the right side.
Some action on that one.
Rasmus went out in 31 and, and then kicked it into gear on the back nine.
Birdies on 10 and 11.
This was saucy on 13.
Oh, very fortunate to be on the upslope there.
It's the only reason he was able to get it close, as he had to land that on a downslope.
Playing that as a drivable par four today.
Also birdie 14 for good measure, and then from distance on 16.
136 feet of putts made today.
We saw the banana bender tee shot from Si Woo Kim, left to right.
Can he pay it off?
That is a yes, and we have Si Woo Kim now at double digits.
Finds himse- himself in what's becoming more and more of a popular spot, that right bunker.
Plenty of room to work with.
Hits an absolute jam.
Oh, find the cup.
That's Nice.
Clanton at eight, four shots back of the current leader, Rasmus Hjgaard.
On the backside, Brandt Snedeker scrambling at the 10th.
You bet.
Sned's to eight under par.
At the second, Davis Riley playing with Ryan Gerard at eight under.
Another beautiful hole, the second hole.
Oh, caught that slope.
Should come back a little bit.
Yeah, very nice.
Davis Riley at the second, trying to pay off this beautiful approach with a birdie to get to within three.
And he does.
Nicely done for Davis Riley.
And Justin, one of the things you see a guy like Davis Riley who's 143 in the standings, times are a little bit easier then.
Brennan just a little wedge into the first.
127, what a wonderful swing this man has right here.
Oh, yeah.
Just a balance build- Easy, that little backstop will get everybody fired up, put his name up on the top of the board towards Sunday.
Michael Brennan starts out a heater.
Woo!
Let's go, Ryan.
Up four to the fifth, Brennan for birdie to share the lead.
Does he get a break?
Yes.
What a putt.
Michael Brennan on the money.
Let's go.
That's what he's been doing well, very major championship-like golf.
Let's swing it on over to the 14th.
Christopher Ventura.
Why not?
Throws an eagle, three on the card.
He's at 10 under, three three on 13 and 14.
Highlight alert.
Chris Kirk at the seventh, third shot.
One, two, three.
He can hole out.
That's a birdie at the seventh.
He had a good look here for his third at the par five, 135.
This is a gap wedge.
Starts it right, trying to work it back to that hole location in the left.
Yeah, another good shot.
Those guys were able to advance those balls a lot farther out of that ditch than I thought they were.
First birdie of the day for these two, and good read by Kyle.
The lid is off.
Come on.
To the 10th.
Scoring club, Riley.
Pin just fourth on the right-hand side, but the wind pushing in from the left, what there is.
Just a zephyr.
Maybe a little cautious with that club, you'd have to say.
And Davis Riley, a chance to tie the lead from right around 25 feet.
Been a rough season so far for Da- Davis, but that's gonna help right there.
Needs to have a monster finish to his season if he wants to make the playoffs in a couple weeks.
And he has six iron, which should be ample club.
Really cool hole location here, and a little finger in the back right portion.
It's a very solid strike.
That golf swing is just glorious to- Yeah, that is an amazing golf shot right there.
Anything inside of 30 feet at the nine today is And now Brennan for the outright lead.
Yeah.
Nicely done by Michael Brennan.
How about this opening nine of 30?
Metronomic would be the word.
And powerful.
That's four iron, and he is splitting the green in half.
I mean, there is absolutely nothing offensive with that move.
Balanced, controlled.
Up to 11.
After the excellent tee shot, Brennan, a chance to get to 14 under.
Very little movement up the hill on this.
Oh.
Oh, you Right about that mark, straight in the heart.
We talk about that club as the weakness.
As we go to 12 and the long birdie putt from Michael Kim.
Oh, what a putt this is.
Oh my.
Four birdies in his last five holes.
For Riley, no surprise, just using the putter there.
Just off the surface.
Fringes are excellent.
Just under four feet left for Riley at the par five.
Nicely done.
That 58 I referred to was at Canebrake Country Club.
13.
And Fowler.
Good.
I think coming from the rough- Oh, Cogwy knows, how to take care of the member bounces around here.
Yeah, I think coming from the rough was actually a benefit for him.
Got him to chase up that slope.
Connecting Detroit to Windsor, Ontario as we go to 13.
And Fowler.
Yeah.
Wayward tee shot, but walks away with a birdie, and this crowd loves him.
Some fun with Siwoo, who did shoot a 65 today.
Here's the seconds on the way for Young.
Right there.
That is 14 yards closer and one less club, eight-iron.
Oh, wow.
Great shot.
And he went right at it.
Up the hill and not much in it.
What an opportunity.
Oh, and he buries it.
That was very, very timely to try and keep pace with Brennan here.
Turns uphill the last third, but the cup is on a perch.
Anything beyond the hole will run away.
To the hole.
Needs to go hard right quick.
All in all, that was all about speed, and that's nicely done, Frank.
That's a new putter he's put in the bag this week.
So it's got a full tank of gas.
Yeah.
There you go.
All right.
Every putter has a number, right?
Make too many, you gotta change them out.
Yeah.
Excuse me, two shot lead.
Getting ahead of myself there.
Probably birdie the next.
Anything other than flat, over a ridge, down a hill.
Notice the quick putt.
Oh, yes.
Miracle.
Wind is completely laid down here, so you gotta go right at it.
And he is going right at it.
Oh, it's a great shot by Riley.
Uphill putt for birdie to close out his round.
16.
And Fowler on a very similar line as Brennan.
Yeah.
Oh, yes.
Fowler with a long one for birdie at 16.
Love to see the little fist pump from Rickie.
What a day for Riley.
Bogey-free for the second straight day.
Has not made a bogey since the 17th hole on Thursday.
A 63, and now a share of the lead.
Final, grouping tomorrow, 'cause they'll be in threes.
We could have two Wake Forest golfers playing alongside each other.
That one comes up short.
Yeah, that was mis-struck right there.
He's 156th around the greens this season.
No.
Slight pull- Made it and it took a bounce halfway there.
Made a double bogey at 18 yesterday.
Well, the chip and the putt, really not up to standard.
That's why I wondered, with the way he struggled a little bit around the greens, if he would go ahead and putt that third shot from the fairway.
Still a 64 for Michael Brennan.
And he'll be in that final grouping tomorrow
