Brewers Rout Rays 10-1, Move One Win From First World Series Title
The Milwaukee Brewers crushed the Tampa Bay Rays 10-1 in Game 3 at Tropicana Field on Monday, grabbing a 3-0 World Series lead and a chance to clinch their first championship Tuesday night. Milwaukee scored all eight runs of its fifth inning with two outs. The rally started when replay overturned a force out on Christian Yelich at second, and seven straight two-out hits followed. Robert Gasser threw six shutout innings and faced the minimum, Jackson Chourio went 4 for 5 with a double and a stolen base, and every Brewers starter reached base and scored, which let Abner Uribe, Aaron Ashby and closer Trevor Megill rest.
