Brown to the Patriots.
So given that, Jay, let's be messy and pit former teammate DeVonta Smith against him in the receiving yards market head-to-head.
How much does the departure of A.J.
Brown help DeVonta Smith in this offense, and how do you see A.J.
slotting in to New England?
Yeah, fascinating, offense for the Eagles this year with Jalen Hurts.
we'll see how much he can evolve as a passer.
Obviously, he has some limitations despite being overall an excellent quarterback and a Super Bowl MVP.
Is he gonna be able to use the middle of the field a bit more?
DeVonta Smith will clearly be the guy in Philadelphia now, even though they have brought in some reinforcements.
They drafted Mekhi Lemon.
But DeVonta Smith, I would take him in this market head-to-head just because I think there is untapped potential there.
This guy did win the Heisman Trophy, and has shown flashes of being a superstar in the NFL, even if he hasn't quite got the usage.
I think his target rate is just gonna be so high in that offense where even if they don't throw the ball an absolute ton, I think the target rate will carry DeVonta Smith.
If you're looking for any player to have the kinda out of nowhere JSN breakout, Trooper Cup 2021 breakout, I think DeVonta Smith, is candidate 1A for that.
And A.J.
Brown, I think he'll be good in New England.
I just worry a bit about him being about to turn 29. his speed metrics fell off a cliff.
Was he just disengaged in Philadelphia?
Maybe a little bit, but at the same time, why are you just slower when you break into a full sprint?
so I think there are concerns health-wise with A.J.
Brown.
I don't think he's gonna go like the Allen Robinson territory, but there might be little flashes of that, so I'll take DeVonta in this market.
